At the last Medicaid Redesign Team “public hearing” in NYC we were given less than 24 hour notice and the wrong address was on the notice. But with looming and recent cuts to Medicaid, the voice of the public and those directly impacted are more important now than ever.
That’s why when the Medicaid Redesign Team did not give us a chance to fully prepare and turn-out, we made some noise!
Now, the Medicaid Redesign team is giving us another opportunity for us to raise our issues. We must take advantage of this moment by showing up and speaking out.
Join us on Monday, March 2, 2020 at 10:30 am to show that we are paying attention and will not accept changes to Medicaid without our input! At 10:30 am we will be having a press conference and it is very important that StateWide members turn out to the press conference and invite as many people as possible. Event: Medicaid Redesign Team II to Hold Additional Public Comment Forum in New York City on March 2, 2020
The New York State Medicaid Redesign Team II has scheduled an additional public comment forum to be held in New York City on March 2. This event is in place of a previously scheduled MRT II Member meeting, in an effort to provide an additional opportunity for public comment in New York City. This public comment forum follows a series of public comment forums that have taken place statewide throughout February. The purpose of these events is to give members of the public the opportunity to speak about changes to the State’s Medicaid program within the upcoming FY 2021 State Budget.
The meeting will be open to the public and streamed live online. Details will be announced soon on a new date for the second MRT II Member meeting.
When: Monday, March 2, 2020, 11:00 a.m.- 2:00 p.m. Registration begins at 10:00 a.m.
