NYS CONSUMER DIRECTED MEDICAID HOME CARE GETS AN EXTENSION
A federal judge has delayed the requirement to be using the new single fiscal intermediary (FI) until June 6. Note: home care users will have until May 15 to enroll in the new system and workers will have until June 6. If someone has already registered (both consumer and home care aides) with the new FI they need to do nothing further, but for those who have not fully registered or have not yet started the process, there is a slight reprieve while their aides will continue to be paid for services as the transition to the single FI is completed.
