On June 30, Governor Hochul released the Final Report for the State’s first-ever Master Plan for Aging (MPA). It has been a product of state agencies and selected stakeholders over the past two years. With more than 100 proposals in the report. StateWide will be reviewing the recommendations and creating talking points and advocacy alerts around those that match our organization’s priority objectives.
The report comes at a time that allows all of us to digest it and prepare for the next state budget discussions, in the midst of a very difficult financial situation for the state imposed by the federal budget cuts to important programs.
