As you move forward with negotiations on the state budget, as a constituent I urge you to:
As you move forward with negotiations on the state budget, as a constituent I urge you to:
- Speak up during Medicaid negotiations to repeal the not yet implemented Medicaid Redesign Team changes from 2020 that cut the home care benefit. The repeal is found in A1198 & A1907 and these need to be included in the final budget.
- Advocate for inclusion of funding for NY StateWide Senior Action Council’s Patients’ Rights Hotline in budget bill A3003. Request restoration of $200,000 cut by the Governor in legislative funds and an additional $500,000 for program capacity expansion.
- Support the Senate’s addition in S3003 of $1million for the Managed Care Consumer Assistance Program.
