Message to Assembly:
As you move forward with negotiations on the state budget, as a constituent I urge you to:
  1. Speak up during Medicaid negotiations to repeal the not yet implemented Medicaid Redesign Team changes from 2020 that cut the home care benefit.  The repeal is found in A1198 & A1907 and these need to be included in the final budget.
  2. Advocate for inclusion of funding for NY StateWide Senior Action Council’s Patients’ Rights Hotline in budget bill A3003. Request restoration of $200,000 cut by the Governor in legislative funds and an additional $500,000 for program capacity expansion.
  3. Support the Senate’s addition in S3003 of $1million for the Managed Care Consumer Assistance Program.
