StateWide Senior Action Council is urging the Legislative Leaders and the Governor to support pending legislation that will prevent patient falls and other injuries. The bill can be viewed at this link: A2180/S1123. It would have the state DOH establish a policy for hospitals and nursing homes to implement that would reduce the risk of harm to health care consumers when they are assisted with repositioning or transferring. It has Passsed the Assembly and is pending before the Senate.
