Screening of the film “Care”

Date(s) - May 6, 2017 , 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM

You are invited to a screening of the film “Care”  at Upstate Films,  in Rhinebeck. Following the screening there will be a discussion.  The theme of the films and discussion is:
How can families afford to care for their aging loved ones even as the caregivers they depend on struggle to keep a roof over their heads? This question, via a series of four riveting vignettes, is the subject of the new documentary film CARE. CARE delves deep into the world of home caregiving through the eyes of both caregivers and the people who rely on their dedicated work, care and compassion – from undocumented immigrant workers like Vilma, to upper-middle- class families like Toni and Peter who go broke from caregiving. The poignant film reveals cracks in an outdated system and opens our eyes to the change needed to support us all.
